Registration Information for Fall 2020 Season
Hello parents,
I hope you and your families are doing well and staying safe.
Due to COVID-19 we have had to redesign how soccer will look in the Fall.
The Fall Season Training Camps have been established by San Mateo AYSO to provide a positive soccer experience for the local youth soccer community. The training camps are designed to challenge and develop players in a FUN and SAFE environment.
Note, no player shall be in more than one activity or sport at a time. This heavily reduces the risk of spreading Covid-19.
What are the training camps?
The training camps are a series of soccer practice sessions for kids in the 10U, 12U and 14U Divisions (2007-2012). There are no sessions this season for 5U, 6U, 8U or 16U/19U. The practice sessions will provide players with the opportunity to develop their soccer skills in a controlled environment. The sessions and curriculum have been created specifically for each age group and the curriculum has been developed for all playing levels and ability.
How are the training camps structured?
2 x 1.5 hour practices a week
Players to work off a progressive curriculum with their coach
Players in a group of maximum 12 which stays stable throughout
Players will be in their own grid for practices staying 6ft apart from other players at all times.
No scrimmaging or games can happen due to current restrictions
What safety measures are in place?
Touchless thermometer at the start of each practice
Hand sanitizer at the start of each practice
Social distancing throughout the whole practice including sign in
No contact by any players throughout the practice – minimum 6ft apart at all times
All players to wear a face mask when out of their car, until they reach the field and are ready to play
