Safe Haven Certification Program - September, 2005

Welcome to the AYSO Online Safe Have Certification Training Program.  This online training has been approved by the American Youth Soccer Organization and may be used by volunteers from any region to satisfy their Safe Haven Coach or Referee training requirements.  Volunteers can complete the training at their own convenience and in a fraction of the course time – feedback has been very positive.

This computer-based Safe Haven certification was developed by and is hosted by AYSO Region 36 of
San Mateo, CA.   The course is available at http://www.aysosm.org/safehaven/.  Accessed as simple web pages, no added software is required and a dialup internet connection is sufficient.  No usernames or passwords are required.

At the completion of the program, the volunteer may print a certificate similar to the sample shown here for their own records and will receive a confirming email with a link to their certificate.

Program administrators:  Online rosters are available which list all the volunteers in your region who have completed the Online Safe Haven training.   To receive a link for your region’s roster, please complete the online Safe Haven Registration form.  The online rosters are provided to help with the management of your region’s program.  The complete roster (for all regions) is sent to National monthly.

If you wish to link this program directly from your region's website, your Webmaster may want use the following URL which will pre-load your region's number and the name of your region into the registration page.  (For this example, we are demonstrating the text for AYSO Region 36 in San Mateo):

Note: use a plus sign instead of a space in the value for locale.  In San Mateo, we use the following in our web page:

Please try it out and spread the word!  I look forward to hearing from you.
