AYSO Parent Quiz

Parents ! Both new and old. Take this quiz to see how well you know what is happening with your child on the soccer field. The following questions came from an AYSO parent and referee volunteer. See how well you answer his questions!

Question 1:

Q: Your child is playing in the U10 division. You know that the coaches are required to be on opposite sides of the field during a match. You also know that on the field your child plays on, one side is much more desirable than the other (due to mud, setting sun, or something similar). Being on the desirable side of the field is really important to you, because your elderly parents are coming to visit and this will be the first soccer match that they will have watched their grandchild.
The best way to get your team on the desirable side of the field is to:

Talk to the team parent to get there early and set up the banner even before the previous match is completed.

Look on the www.aysosm.org website to see who will be the referee for the match and call him/her up the night before to request the desirable side for your team.

Talk to the coach and insist that he gets there early to claim the desirable side of the field.

Talk to the coach and find out who will be the home team, because the home team chooses which side of the field they are on.
