Meeting Notes:
WELCOME
Gene Batter welcomed everyone and thanked them for volunteering.
Eric made a motion to
accept the October 2003 meeting minutes, Kimberly seconded. The minutes were unanimously approved.
League
Commissioner’s Reports:
Regional
Commissioner, Gene Batter, reported that the U16 Boys team coached by Dave Goss
won the League Tournament, went onto the Section Tournament and won that as
well. Frank Thayer’s team won the
Sportsmanship Award. Gene also reported
that he attended a meeting regarding fields and stated that the City of San
Mateo would still be permitting fields and our Region can expect to budget in
approximately an additional $10,000 for fields next season.
Girls
League Commissioner, Eric Hass thanked everyone who helped volunteer for
tournaments. Every thing went very
smoothly.
Chief
Coach, Doug Brown not present at meeting.
Regional
Referee Administrator, Brian Kersten reported that he
will need to work on volunteers for next year and he is in need of a U10
Referee Coordinator.
Treasurer’s
Report:
Rand Potter was not present at the meeting, but Gene
handed out and went over the
Season
Review:
Gene
stated that during the 8th week and parent had an altercation with a
Referee. Other than that, the season
went very smoothly.
Section
Meeting:
Gene
asked Board Members to inform him as soon as possible if they plan on attending
the Section Meeting in February 2004.
Gene
discussed with the Board SMYSF’s, John Shield request
for a letter of support from AYSO Region 36.
Tracy made a motion to authorize
Gene Batter to write a letter of support to SMYSF, Rob seconded and the motion
was unanimously approved.
NEW BUSINESS
Players
Rating Review:
Gene
commented on the players rating forms and said that he has received positive
feedback from coaches.
OPEN
Parent
Surveys:
Eric
volunteered to collect the girl’s and Gene will collect the boy’s.
Safe Haven:
Eric
and Keith discussed the possibility of providing Safe Haven on-line in the
future.
Eric
made a motion to adjourn the meeting, Brian seconded. The meeting was adjourned at 8:25pm.
