League Commissioner’s Reports:
Regional Commissioner, Gene Batter thanked
everyone for volunteering and all Board members introduced themselves and their
respective position. Gene stated that
there are open Board positions that need to be filled. He also stated that AYSO have lost more
practice fields, the
Eric Haas, reporting for the Girls League, stated
that the volunteer registration process is running smoothly. He stated that there is a need for more U6
coaches.
Brian Kersten, Regional
Referee Administrator, stated that the Area meetings have been set for May and
July. Those dates will be announced at a
later date.
Treasurer’s Report:
Rand Potter handed out and walked through with all Board members the AYSO Annual Budget 2003. Keith made a motion to accept the Budget as proposed, Blair seconded the motion, it was unanimously approved.
Section Meeting:
Gene stated that there will be 5
Board members attending the Section meeting.
2003 Calendar:
Gene handed out the 2003 calendar and the information is also available on the website.
H&H/Merchandise Sources:
Gene stated that H&H is no longer around and
we will be using Score as our new uniform vendor. There will be a 10%-20% reduction in our
uniform costs.
MLS Camps Summer Camps:
Gene stated that MLS Camps will operate our summer
camps this year. MLS Camps will use
Fiesta Meadow’s field and the cost will be $120 half day, $170 full day. Blair made a motion to accept the fees as
proposed,
2003 Coaches Training:
Gene handed out an AYSO 2003 Coach Training Proposal and reviewed the contents with all Board members. Blair made a motion to implement proposed Coach Training program as stated on the hand out, Rob seconded the motion and it was unanimously approved.
Gene also stated that we would like to hire MLS to do the Coach Training program. Keith made a motion to spend $10,000 to hire MLS to run our Region designed coaches clinics, Mark seconded the motion and it was unanimously approved.
